Coton Road
The Clients renovated and extended their home over 20 years ago. Their children have grown up and moved out, but now come back to visit regularly, with a plethora of friends, partners and offspring. The family therefore wanted a bigger, sociable cooking space for everyone to enjoy together. In addition, they regularly host art workshops at the kitchen table and needed a large, light-filled space to facilitate these sessions.
The project consisted of an extension and roof alterations to the current kitchen, together with a new glazed corner to the adjacent sitting room. The latter space has a visual connection with the kitchen, and it was important that this was maintained and heightened in the new proposals, while celebrating the direct link between the house and the garden.
