Chalet House

A house with a glass door and outdoor plants, including purple tulips and flowering bushes, under a clear blue sky.
A bright dining area with large sliding glass doors leading to a backyard, featuring a white dining table, a modern floor lamp, and decorative items on the table, with window view of garden and patio.

We consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have found Liz. Having lived in our home for twenty years while raising a family, the property had begun to feel somewhat tired and was in need of a comprehensive update. Liz has truly transformed the space.

Beyond the aesthetic improvements, she has significantly enhanced the building’s performance; the house is now far better insulated, which has led to a substantial reduction in our heating bills. Furthermore, she has turned our kitchen and bathroom into absolute gems. We find genuine pleasure in these spaces every day.

Throughout the process, Liz was an invaluable guide, navigating us through complex discussions with suppliers and contractors. She was always attentive to our requirements, ensuring she listened to our concerns and took the time to respond thoroughly to our questions. We highly recommend her services to anyone seeking a dedicated and thoughtful architect.

Susanne and Ferdinand Mueller

The house had been beautifully renovated and extended over twenty years previously.  However, now the clients’ children had grown up, the living space requirements had changed and they wished to transform the house again to suit their current needs.

In addition, there was a need to upgrade the fabric in the original part of the house to improve energy efficiency and thermal comfort.  The project involved adding external wall insulation with a render finish to the original cavity walls, complete redesign of the kitchen and en suite shower room, and redecorations throughout the house including transforming the double height entrance hall with a white oiled wood finish to the stair and ceiling panels.
